TERMS AND CONDITIONS OF WARRANTY
For the purposes of this agreement:
“Supplier” shall mean Leema Creations (Pvt) Ltd and its successors and assigns
“Customer” shall mean the customer or any person acting on behalf of with his/her authority
“Product” shall have the same meaning as the goods supplied by the Supplier to the Customer
This warranty covers the defects resulting from defective parts, materials, workmanship and construction, if such defects, are revealed during the period of warranty from the date of purchase.
The Supplier agrees, within a period as specified after the delivery date, to repair or replace without charge the particular product or component which is defective within the meaning of this guarantee, determined during an inspection by a trained representative of the Supplier that the product has failed due to defects in fabrication or installation.
Any complaint must be sent to the Supplier within ten days of the defect being noticed accompanied by the purchase invoice or details relating to the purchase. The warranty is applicable only with the proof of purchase to the original owner as it is non-transferable. The original invoice of the final payment is to be submitted with the claim under the warranty. Warranty claims must be made in writing within 30 days before the expiration of warranty. If a claim is not made within the stated time frame, then the warranty period will expire automatically even if the product has not been fully used or installed during the warranty period.
All claim determinations will be made and communicated to Customer in writing by the Supplier.
In the event of repair or replacement, the original remaining warranty period will continue and be applicable to the repaired or replaced “Leema” product in whole and will not set in motion a new warranty period from the date of repair or replacement. Customer must make a warranty claim prior to having any repairs or replacement of the alleged defective items. The warranty becomes void if the goods are repaired or replaced without first obtaining the written consent from the Supplier.
Damages are not covered under this warranty if the product supplied has defects due to or as a result of the following:- Use of paints, detergents, solvents, chemicals such as harsh or abrasive cleaner, aggressive environmental influences or chemical dust, such as construction dust, lightning or other unusual weather conditions, soiling caused by animals, vandalism, burns from cigarettes and other sources, fire, damage as a result of any testing, adjustments or modification or improper installation or assembly contrary to any written installation instruction, failure to observe operation, poor or incorrect maintenance, failure to take proper care, modifications, alteration, misuse, abuse, willful or negligent damage, unreasonable or extraordinary use, or any trial operation of the product, accident, use in a manner that is not normal or customary, or extraordinary, if the surface of the product has been scratched for any reason, defect or damage incurred from transportation or storage of the products in improper conditions outside of Supplier’s responsibility (re-transport after delivery of product by Supplier)
As the manufacturer of the Product, “Leema” stands behind its craftsmanship and pledges to do everything it can to reasonably resolve, as quickly as possible, any problems you may have with the Product within the terms and conditions of this warranty. This warranty is non-transferable and valid to the original purchaser only
MELAMINE & VENEER FURNITURE
All woodwork is guaranteed to be of good material and workmanship and free from defects that render it unserviceable for the use for which it is intended. Our quality is more than skin deep and we extend our warranty to cover the structural integrity of every material used in our products. The Melamine & Veneer MFC / MDF board furniture is guaranteed to be of the best material and workmanship and free from defects.
The MFC / MDF board used in our furniture is of E2 grade. It is made to withstand normal wear and tear under normal conditions. It is recommended that users make periodic inspections to look for damages or signs of structural fatigue incurred in daily handling and use. Loose screws should be tightened immediately and any product that needs repair should be taken out of service immediately for repair or replacement.
Colour variations, colour fastness, grain or texture of the laminate are not to be considered defects.
To be protected by the guarantee the products must not be stored in damp warehouses or placed in moist or freshly plastered buildings. Any damages caused by water leaks, faulty plumbing or termite attacks are not covered by the warranty. We do not agree to bear the charges for finishing or installing replaced parts or components by third parties.
Damage resulting from delamination, defects or failures within the Product which directly or indirectly arise from or are due to, but not limited to damage from steam, excessive moisture, heat damage from placing hot pans, pots or similar hot objects directly on the surface of the Product, including damage consisting of cracks in and scorching of the Product, heavy weight or impact damage caused by placing heavy objects on the Product; applying substantial weight to the Product, including by standing, sitting or lying on the Product; or applying excessive impact to or mishandling the Product are not covered under the warranty. Damage resulting from user modifications including dismantling the furniture and re-assembly as well as damages caused due to dragging of the furniture are specifically not covered under the warranty. ,
Damage resulting from impact caused by objects scraped along, thrown or dropped on the product’s surface; or Acidic food products and chemical damage caused by exposing the Product to acidic or corrosive materials, cosmetics and chemicals such as dyes, solvents, bleach, inks, acetone etc or using inappropriate household cleaning products. This Warranty does not cover, and no implied warranty shall be deemed to cover, any condition or damages resulting from normal wear and tear, use of the Product beyond normal use, misuse of the Product, improper handling, neglect or abuse of the Product, excessive moisture exposure, exposure to extreme weather conditions, lack of maintenance in accordance with Supplier’s maintenance instructions, improper maintenance in contravention of Supplier’s maintenance instructions, or any other causes or occurrences beyond Supplier’s control and unrelated to the manufacturing process.
Melamine & Veneer MFC/MDF furniture products should be maintained by
- Dusting the furniture with a soft duster
- If the furniture is very dusty, clean it with a slightly damp, non-abrasive sponge with mild soap. Thereafter wipe with soft, dry, lint-free cloth
- Do not flood the laminate top especially the seams, since water can penetrate and cause the substrate to swell
- Avoid the use of wax or any wax-based product as this will cause a residue buildup
- Avoid direct exposure to sources of heat, air conditioning, sunlight or moist environment.
- Wipe tops using a clean, damp cloth or sponge with a mild soap, non-bleach
